St. Peter's School marked its 125th anniversary in 2003 & published a booklet to celebrate the occasion. In it, the LaSalle Christian Bros., who were part of the school's history are commemorated. The Sisters of Mercy opened St. Peter's in 1878; St. Peter's Academy, the high school for girls graduated its 1st class in 1882. In 1886 the Christian Bros. opened St. Peter's School for Boys; the grammar school existed from 1886 to 1953 & the high school from 1924 to 1953. The booklet lists CB principals of the high school by name.
