Well, the two major newspapers for 1920 would be the SF Chronicle and the SF Examiner. You could try your interlibrary loan for microfilm if you wanted to do it yourself.

FYI, the Godeau records will be online, hopefully, within the year.

Also, the coroner records are available at the San Francisco Public Library History center.
