Lifelong Marin resident
Wallace Marshall of San Rafael, lifelong Marin resident, died Friday, Dec. 14, 1990, at Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda after a long illness. He was 82.
He was born in Sausalito and raised in Mill Valley, where he lived for many years. He moved to San Rafael in 1948.
Mr. Marshall was a clerk in the gas department for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in San Rafael. He worked for the company for 48 years.
He was a 50-year member of Marin Lodge No. 191 F. & A.M. in San Rafael, American Legion Post No. 284, the Marin Shrine Club, Islam Temple, Scottish Rite, Pyramid No. 31, Independent Order of Foresters, and a 50-year member and past-patron of Chapter 219 Order of Eastern Star.
Mr. Marshall also ran live-steam trains.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley Marshall of San Rafael; a daughter, Sandra Howard of Maryland; a sister, Diamond White of Napa; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
Inurnment will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. The family prefers memorial gifts to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 1710 19th Ave., San Francisco, 94122.
A Paid Death Notice in the same paper mentions the grandchildren, Rebecca and Deborah Howard, and adds that he was the uncle of John Fagundes of Napa.
