Frank G. Short, retired certified public accountant , died unexpectedly yesterday at his Inverness home. He was 77.
Born in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, short came to this country in 1925. He lived in New York and San Francisco before moving to Marin County in 1954.
For many years he had his own public accounting office in San Francisco.
He was a past president and life member of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants and was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is survived by his wife, Louise B. Short of the family home; a son, Frank E. Short of Kentfield; and two granddaughters.
Private funeral will be tomorrow in San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in Inverness.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Lisa and Marianne Short of Rohnert Park. Funeral services were to be held at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael.
