Moon Funeral Rites Conducted Today

Funeral services were held this afternoon for Hubert P. Moon, 40, civil engineer, who succumbed with a heart attack Sunday evening as he was hurrying to catch a train. Rev. John Leffler conducted the funeral services which were held at the mortuary of Keaton and Dusel.

Moon, who has been residing on Alameda Road in San Anselmo with his wife, was known not only as an engineer, but also as a poet and humanitarian. He was a graduate of Harrow, Oxford and Voiliol College and Kings College in England and was one of the few Greek letter students in the United States. He was a civil and mechanical engineer and was consulting engineer for the bridge built by the Australian government at Sydney. He spoke 27 languages and had lived in many different countries. He had been in the United States 7 years, and was a naturalized citizen. He was at one time a member of the staff of the “Argonaut” but at the present time was a civil engineer for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. in San Francisco.
