Doris Falender of Belvedere died Friday, Nov. 3, 1989, at home after a long illness. She was 61.
She was born and raised in Lafayette, Ind., and had lived in the Bay Area for 20 years.
She lived in San Francisco and Walnut Creek before moving to Belvedere five years ago.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Falender enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Fredrick J. Falender of Belvedere; a son, Steven Falender of Indianapolis; a daughter, Elaine Falender of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; her father, Boris Newmark of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Congregation Rodef Sholom, 170 N. San Pedro Road in San Rafael.
The family prefers contributions to Jewish Family and Children’s Service, 1600 Scott St., San Francisco, 94115.
A Paid Death Notice in the same paper ad that she was the grandmother of Phillip, Mark and Ellen Falender, and Elisabeth, Daniel and Carlin Gayer.
