FOLLOWS WIFE TO GRAVE IN A YEAR
Less than a year from the date of his wife's death, Samuel H. Whitney, who for some time had been foreman of McNear's Quarry, passed away at a local hospital last Sunday. He had been in failing health ever since the loss of his wife, and about three weeks ago the illness became so acute that he was obliged to abandon his work.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning from the undertaking parlors of Stephen Eden on Fifth avenue, the Rev. Lynn T. White officiating, and the remains removed to Cypress Lawn cemetery, San Francisco, for cremation. Mr. Whitney was 48 years of age.
