Boy Drowned At Belvedere Sunday
Emil Gay, an eighteen-year-old boy, was drowned at Belvedere on Sunday morning. A few minutes after he entered the water, he threw up his hands, imploring aid, and immediately sank from view.
There were a number of people in the vicinity, who witnessed the signal and disappearance of the young man, and were as expeditious as possible in finding him and bringing him to shore, but although the spark of life had not fled when a physician reached him a half hour later, all efforts to resuscitate him failed, and he died a few minutes after medical aid was been (sic) secured.
The deceased was a native of Switzerland, but came from Canada to this country. He was a young man of fine appearance, and of excellent character. His home was in Sausalito.
