Waldo Giacomini
Passed away at home in Point Reyes Station at age 88, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 23, 2002. Beloved husband of the late Louise Mazza Giacomini and the late Rita Cadden Valconesi Giacomini. Loving father of Robert Giacomini and his wife Dean, Richard Giacomini and his wife, Darlene, Jeannette Giacomini and David Giacomini. Stepfather of Peter Valconesi and his wife, Dana and the late Ray Valconesi Jr.. Adored grandfather of Karen (Brad) Howard, Diane (Sam) Hagen, Lynn (Teddy) Stray, Jill (Jeff) Basch, Lisa (Allan) Martinoni, Rick (Jennifer) Giacomini, Ron Giacomini, Katie Giacomini, Kristen Giacomini, Julie (Jim) Voss and Peter Valconesi Jr.. Great grandfather of Kevin and Andrew Howard, Eric, Melissa and Arika Martinoni, Avery and Miles Stray, Logan and Corinna Basch. Beloved brother of Fred Giacomini, Toby Giacomini, Esther Gambonini, Vivian Cetani, Ralph Giacomini and the late Joseph Giacomini. Son of the late Tobias and Celestina Giacomini. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a native of Petaluma, California. A Point Reyes Station resident since 1938, Mr. Giacomini was a prominent dairyman in West Marin for 58 years. Friends are invited to attend the Vigil Service, Friday, April 26, 2002 at 8:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty Street, Petaluma. Friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Saturday, April 27, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Olema, with Burial to follow at the Olema Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk Street, Petaluma. The family prefers Memorials be made to the West Marin Senior Services, P.O. Box 791, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, P.O. Box 70, Olema, CA 94950 or to your favorite charity.
