Aged Pioneer Of Kentfield Is Near Death

Jacob Fosberg, 87, a pioneer resident of Kentfield, was removed to Ross General Hospital yesterday after having suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he is still in an unconscious condition.

Neighbors of Fosberg, who lives alone on the Kentfield-Greenbrae road, not having seen him about yesterday, went to his home and heard him moaning inside. The doors were all locked and seeing Deputy Sheriff Leslie Tracy passing they called him. Tracy climbed a ladder and looked in the window and saw Fosberg lying on his bed motionless. He forced in the back door and rushed the man to the hospital where his condition has remaind unchanged.

Fosberg was employed for many years on the Kent estate. His wife died five years ago and since that time he has lived alone.
