Santa Rosa man killed with blow to head
A slain Santa Rosa man whose body was left in an abandoned van near Point Reyes died of a head injury.
Sonoma County sheriff’s Lt. Mike Brown said yesterday’s autopsy on 39-year-old Kent Ronald Bolla showed he was killed by “blunt force Trauma to the head.”
Brown said authorities have information on the murder weapon but are not releasing the details.
Bolla’s body was found in a white van Friday night on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road about four miles east of Point Reyes near Platform Bridge Road.
Brown said he believes Bolla was murdered in Santa Rosa at 698 Bellevue Ave. He said police received a call Friday morning from an informant who directed them to the residence. Investigators found blood splattered on the walls and pooling on the floors there.
With the physical evidence gathered at the scene and information supplied by the informant, police identified a young man and woman living there as suspects.
Later that day, police found a green Ford Maverick belonging to the couple a few miles from the suspected murder scene. The focus then switched to their white van, found Friday night in Marin.
Police believe the suspect may be headed for San Francisco because they’re familiar with the area.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department is seeking Gerald Ray Farmer Jr., 25, and Jeanine Dale Dunlap, 21, both of Santa Rosa.
Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 707-527-2121.
