Memorial services for James C. Hamill, retired credit union manager at the Department of Agriculture office in San Francisco will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Keatonís Chapel of Marin, Novato.
Hamill, 66, of 91 Western Drive, Novato, was stricken with a heart attack while fishing at Marconi Cove, Tomales Bay, Saturday and was taken to Marin General Hospital where he was dead on arrival at about 9:30 a.m.
Hamill retired five years ago from his department of agriculture job but previously had worked as an operational clerk for Western Union for 37 years. He had served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Marin Power Squadron.
Hamill was a native of San Francisco and had been a resident of Novato for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred, of Novato; a son, Robert E. Hamill of San Rafael, and a brother, Charles Hamill of San Mateo.
