Stephen Peck, 17-year-old Sir Francis Drake High School senior, died under emergency care at Ross General Hospital yesterday. Keith Craig, coronerís investigator, reported today.
Craig said Peck had had a fever, which reached 107 degrees, for several days but the cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy has been performed but tests have not been completed.
Peck was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Peck of 90 Brookmead Court, San Anselmo. His father is an engineer with Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco.
A native of Florida, Peck had lived in Marin for seven years. He was a former member of the Marin Youth Orchestra, playing the trumpet with then for four years, and was on the staff of the Jolly Roger, the Drake school newspaper.
Survivors are his parents; a sister, Susan Peck, and two brothers, Norman and Victor Peck, all of the home.
Funeral will be held in Miami, Fla., but definite time is pending. Memorial contributions may be made to the cancer or heart funds.
