Biasotti Rites To Be Held Tomorrow

Giobatta Biasotti, a Fairfax resident for about 48 years, died early today at a local hospital following a long illness. He was born in Ital 78 years ago.

Biasotti made his home at 82 Wood lane, with his wife, Mrs. Matilda Biasotti. About 19 years ago he retired after working for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. for 17 years in San Francisco. Before that he had been in the restaurant and hotel business in San Francisco.

Prior to the earthquake and fire in San Francisco in 1906, Biasotti was employed by a San Francisco dairy company, and suffered an injury in a milk delivery accident. He was being treated in St. Luke’s Hospital when the disaster occurred, and was one of the patients rescued from the rubble of the building. When he recovered, he came to Marin County to make his home in Fairfax.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elvira Armstrong, 93 Wood lane, Fairfax, two sons, Romeo Biasotti, 8 Pasadena avenue, San Anselmo, Edmond Biasotti of Yreka, and two grandchildren, Mary and Edmond Biasotti.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow from the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael, followed by a Mass of Requiem at 9 a.m. at St. Rita’s Church in Fairfax. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today.
