Anton Wagner

Anton Wagner of Novato died Friday, Jan. 6, 1989 at Novato Community Hospital. He was 62.

Mr. Wagner worked 30 years for the Bechtel Corp.

Private arrangements were handled through Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato.

Anton ‘Tom’ Wagner

A memorial Mass for Anton “Tom” Wagner of Novato will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.

Mr. Wagner died Saturday, Jan. 7, 1989, at Novato Community Hospital after a three-year fight with cancer. He was 62.

He was born in Holland and was a decorated veteran of the Dutch Army, serving in Indonesia and Korea. He immigrated to the United States in 1956.

Mr. Wagner was a mechanical engineer, working 30 years for the Bechtel Corp. He was assigned to many diverse projects, including space centers and aircraft carriers as well as coal, gas and nuclear power plants in both the United States and Far East.

He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge of Arizona and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan Wagner of Novato; two sons, Jeffrey Wagner of Wisconsin and Kenneth Wagner of Los Angeles; and two daughters, Patricia Wagner of Novato and Barbara Wagner of Los Angeles.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Drive, Corte Madera.
