Services For Young Mrs. Armsby Held
Funeral services of Mrs. Jeffrey K. Armsby, who was killed in an automobile accident last Sunday, were held from St. John’s church, Ross, on Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev. William L. Wood, officiating. Only members of the family and close friends attended the services. Mrs. Armsby wore her bridal gown which was sent by air mail from her parents’ home in Wheeling, West Virginia. The body was placed temporarily in a vault in Tamalpais cemetery and will later be taken to the Armsby family plot in Rose Hill, Illinois.
Mrs. Armsby, whose marriage took place in Wheeling, W. Va., on January 3rd, was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Russell and was 20 years of age. She, with Mr. Armsby and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Palmer, were returning from Pebble Beach, where they had spent the week end. The accident occurred near Salinas. Mrs. Armsby was killed instantly, it is thought. Her husband was pinned beneath the car and was extricated by passing motorists. His injuries were minor.
